If you haven’t yet seen the new issue of Foreverskim go take a look. Besides the fact that FSM always includes some insane photos and footy, there is a sick shot of Tomas at wedge (p. 168-169), an article on the history of skimming in SD by Daniel Cady and Sean Ward (p. 98-109) and a Melaque video by Gold Shooz, run by Derek Young (p. 204).
Almost no swell in the water right now. The tide is pretty high though so maybe it will improve in the afternoon. There probably won’t be many more reports on the wall for a while, season’s definitely over by now.
I haven’t forgotten about the site, but the conditions haven’t been very good for over a month now so I haven’t been checking the skim too much. Fortunately the sand has been building up and there are some south swells on the way so things might be getting better at last. The skim looked decent at Marine St. today but a bit troughy. I had one pretty good session at Windansea a while ago but that’s been about it. Anybody else getting any skim? Comment or post in the forum if you’ve been getting any waves… I’d be interested to hear. Looking forward to some fun summer days. See you all out there.

Lots of seaweed and troughy, maybe some skimmable waves on the north end. Marine St. doesn’t have much sand but might be better than the Wall at high tide.
South swell is supposed to be building in the afternoon. Doesn’t seem to be anything yet.
